Choosing a Wedding Photographer: Candid, Traditional or Both?
By admin · 29 Sep 2026 · 1 min read
Most Indian weddings use a team: candid photographers capture emotions and moments, while traditional photographers make sure every family group and ritual is covered. Here is how to decide.
Look at complete weddings
Highlight reels show the best ten frames. Ask for two full galleries from weddings similar to yours, at similar venues and light conditions.
Agree on deliverables
- Number of photographers and videographers for each function.
- Approximate number of edited photos and the delivery timeline.
- Album size, number of pages and paper type.
- Film length: teaser, highlight film and full documentary.
- Whether drone shots need permission at your venue.
Check the contract
It should name the lead photographer, list function times, mention overtime charges and travel costs, and state how long raw files are kept.
