Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026. This policy explains how Webhopers Infotech Pvt Ltd (“Wedhopers“, “we”) collects and uses personal data when you use our website and services. We process personal data in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and rules made under them.

1. Data we collect

  • Account data: name, email address, mobile number, password (stored hashed), role (couple or vendor).
  • Wedding planning data you enter: wedding date, cities, checklist, budget, guest names and contact details, RSVPs, seating, notes and your wedding website content.
  • Enquiries and messages: the details you send to vendors (event date, guest count, budget, message) and your conversation with them.
  • Vendor business data: business profile, photos, prices, and verification documents (stored privately).
  • Technical data: a one-way hashed form of your IP address for security and rate-limiting, and, only with your consent, analytics events.

2. Why we use it (purposes)

  • To provide your account and planning tools.
  • To send your enquiry to the vendor you chose. We share your enquiry details only with the vendor(s) you contact, and only after you agree on the enquiry form.
  • To send service notifications you have not switched off (enquiry replies, reminders, RSVP updates).
  • To keep the platform safe: spam prevention, fraud detection, review moderation.
  • With consent, to understand site usage through privacy-friendly analytics.

3. Guests in your guest list

If you add guests, you confirm you are entitled to share their details with us for planning your wedding. Guest data is visible only to you and collaborators you invite, and to each guest for their own RSVP. We never market to your guests.

4. Retention

We keep account data while your account is active. When you delete your account, planning data is erased within 30 days. Enquiry records already delivered to a vendor remain with that vendor as their business record. Security logs are kept for up to 12 months; analytics for up to 13 months.

5. Your rights

You can access, correct, export and erase your data from My Wedding → Settings, withdraw consent at any time, and nominate another person to exercise your rights. To raise a grievance contact our Grievance Officer below.

6. Security

We use HTTPS, hashed passwords, access controls by role, audit logs for administrative actions and private storage for documents. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong password.
